This Privacy Policy explains how Zipline AI, LLC ("Zipline," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Zipline public demo at https://try.zipline.ai (the "Demo"). The Demo is an experimental, shared environment intended for learning and evaluation, not for production workloads.
Information We Collect
When you use the Demo, we may collect:
- Google sign-in information. Google may provide an account identifier, email address, and other basic profile information authorized by the sign-in scope. We use this information to authenticate you and associate activity with a Demo session.
- Usage and access-log information. Our systems may record your IP address, user agent, requested URL and path, query string, HTTP method, response status, request timing, timestamps, and authenticated user identifier.
- Content and actions. We may process configurations, jobs, queries, feature keys, outputs, and other content or actions you submit through the Demo.
- Derived identifiers and metrics. Demo datasets may derive pseudonymous identifiers and operational features from the information above. For example, one dataset represents an email address as the first eight hexadecimal characters of its SHA-256 hash. This short hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous, and should not be treated as a security credential.
- Session information. We may use cookies or similar storage that is necessary for authentication, security, and operation of the Demo. We do not use the Demo for targeted advertising.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and operate the Demo;
- provide feature computation, retrieval, tutorials, and other Demo functions;
- monitor freshness and offline/online consistency;
- diagnose failures, maintain security, prevent abuse, and control costs;
- understand and improve the Demo and Zipline services; and
- comply with law and enforce the Demo Terms of Service.
Shared Demo Environment
The Demo is shared with other signed-in users. Configurations, jobs, feature definitions, keys, logs, outputs, or other activity may be visible to other Demo users or administrators. Do not submit secrets, credentials, sensitive personal information, confidential information, production data, or content you do not have permission to use.
How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- to service providers that help us operate the Demo, including Google for authentication and Amazon Web Services for hosting, logging, and storage;
- to Zipline personnel and contractors who need it to operate, secure, support, or improve the Demo;
- when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Demo; or
- as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and Weekly Resets
The Demo platform may be torn down or reset, including on a weekly cadence. A reset is not a guaranteed deletion mechanism. Access logs, derived datasets, backups, security records, and data in separately persisted services may remain after a platform reset. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including operation, security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, and establishing or defending legal claims.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission is completely secure, and the Demo should not be used to store sensitive or production information.
Your Choices and Rights
You may stop using the Demo at any time. You can manage access granted through your Google account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
To make a privacy request, email support@zipline.ai. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Children
The Demo is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Demo. Contact us if you believe a child has provided such information.
International Processing
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data protection laws from your jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Demo changes. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to your subsequent use.
